Hopping in Airplanes

hi everyone!

We are here in Honduras, and everything is AMAZING. I am working on putting together the video from our three-hour drive in from San Pedro Sula to Bell Aire (just past La Ceiba).

As far as what you are seeing in the video above:

When we got to the airport, we realised that we booked Lindsa'ys ticket under the name Lindsay MacDonald, though her passport and license both say Lindsay johnson still -- a tiny misscommunication between my mom and I.

We also were a bit afraid that we weren't going to beable to get my parents and I a seat on the airplane that we almost missed thanks to the ticket fiasco. We ended up hanging out in the airplane galley for about 20 minutes, causing a delay in the flight and getting 3 employees kicked off the plane that were gonna try to fly free.

Once in Ft Lauderdale, a very kind man helped us cart our 12 checked bags and more cary-ons to the distant terminal that would link us to Honduras.

We made it just fine. After a very long day we stayed in the Banana Inn and woke up to get the retal truck and head to the ranch in Bell Aire. More to come in the next "episode"

welp, see ya later.

emerald bikes

This here is a video from saturday. We went to downtown seattle to run some errands and spent some time with Christian and a friend of ours, sarah russell. Bikes are the best way to see the emerald city, fo sho. We had a blast.

I am posting from Ft Lauderdale Florida (spelling?). We are on our way to Honduras with my family. We have had some less-than-smooth airport experiences .... some that left us wondering if lindsay would even be able to get on the airplane. Still, here we are at our 6-hour layover.

We are making some documentaries and videos of our trip. We will post them as they get completed.

we're off!

accidents are...

...sometimes painful

like when i burned my foot last week with boiling syrup (i'll spare ya'll and not show the picture it's ugly)

or when Evan busted himself all over on saturday morning. he was mt biking at kelly canyon and luckily narrowly missed hitting a deer. then he overcorrected a skid and indo-ed over the handlebars. he can't button the top of his shirt and keeps bleeding everywhere. pobrecito!

...sometimes really funny

Dish Duty

The game was good. Lindsay and I returned to the golf course with the sun. Sleeping in would result in a forfeit and a week of wrinkly fingers.

We had 4 of 9 holes left, and Lindsay was ahead 2 strokes. As we played the 6th, 7th, and 8th holes, I gained enough strokes to tie by the beginning of the 9th hole. My drive off the 9th tee went out of bounds, awarding me a penalty; Lindsay's was straight down the fairway. I took a drop and shot my ball in the bunker just off the green. Lindsay landed on the green in a few shots, and I finally hacked it out of the sand onto the green.

Lindsay's ball had one stroke less than mine, her ball was about 4 feet away and mine was about 15 feet from the cup. If she sunk her putt, she would win the game. She putted, missed, putted again and made it. If i could make my putt, I would tie the game. If i missed, i would lose by one stroke. I lined up my putt, took a cautious practice stroke, took a breath, and putted for dough.... it rolled assertively, for the first 14 feet and then started to loose steam. inch by inch, it neared the hole, it reached the edge, teetered, and 'plunk!'

The game was tied. It was pretty awesome. We decided we will have a rematch, and until then would share the dish duty.
