a blog about a family with members who's names include Elena, Esther, Evan, Lindsay and Nina (in alphabetic order).
This is my amazing wife, Lindsay. She is so supportive and really is my best friend. She has a pure heart and holy smokes she is smart! She makes me want to be better. I am a super lucky man.
Lindsay doesn't like this picture too much, but I really do. I took this picture this morning right after I woke up.

This past Friday, I got the boot. I was working as a graphic designer for a hotel marketing company. Basically, the company hired a bunch of peeps and the sales peeps couldn't keep up with our productivity. But hey, no hard feelings!!
Sure, I was a little upset at first. But I realized that this is really an opportunity! I spent the rest of my Friday afternoon getting some things organized, I wrote up a simple business plan, and made a few changes to my
website. By Monday, my tax info was figure out, I had a schedule, and I started fishing for clients in a few online listings. It's been exciting.
In the words of an old boss, I am out eating what I kill. Lindsay is so supportive, even though its tough to be home, but to really be at work.
This has been a dream of mine for a while now, and this time it really just felt right. I feel more ready than ever before, and since I already have a small clientele, we should be able to make the ends meet, even in the (toughest) first months.
So now what? If you happen to know of anyone who has an ugly logo, website, packaging, or other similar stuff, send them to
evanmade.com. Shoot, you could even stop by there yourself!

Hi friends.
It seems so many of the posts I make are worthless. That is all changing right now. Foist of all: ONE YEAR!! WOOP! People said we wouldn't make it, but here we are (okay, so everyone said we'd make it before
we said we'd make it). For celebrations, I whisked Lindsay away to see the Playmill (wonderfull) and a lodge-esque bed-and-breakfast in Island Park, Idaho. The plan was to go to yellowstone ntl park in the morning, but it SNOWED!!! Ugh. So we cam home early. I still owe her a trip to the world's 1st national park.
What do you expect? WE ARE! Yes, we are prego (not the sauce). Lindsay is 14 weeks and we are super excited. So excited that Lindsay got me a fathas day present -- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. I'll have to watch it with the kids (i really cannot wait!).
Right now, little Bazzle is about the size of a lemon, is making faces in the womb (at his* mother, I'll have to teach the little guy to show some respect), is able to grasp his hand, and may even be sucking his little thumb!! We're so proud.
Names? Not telling yet .. what do you think? Anyhow. More updates on the little pheotee as we move along.
*We have not idea the gender, i just can't bring myself to call our child "it".
